Course Overview:

This literature class helps students develop analytical and critical reading skills and prepares them for writing about literature at the college level. Weekly reading assignments provide the backbone for the classroom meetings where we will discuss, debate, and even dissect a wide range of literacy works, including children's books, short stories, essays, memoirs, biographies, poems, and plays. In addition to discussions, students will respond to the literature by composing short essays and giving one presentation to the class.
