Live Concert & Music Lecture
Apr 27th, 2022 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM Adjunct Music Professor and guitar instructor John Cochran will be joined by some of the Gulf Coasts finest musicians to perform music ranging from funk, blues, and rock and roll, to jazz, soul, and experimental music. In addition to the performance, Cochran will discuss the significance of some of the song selections. Cochran will also display and discuss various styles and techniques for electric guitar. The audience will also see and hear a range of vintage and historic instruments that Cochran will be bringing and playing courtesy of Mobtown Music in Mobile. These guitars will go back as far as 1917.
