Emergency Medical Services

Emergency Medical Technicians (Basic EMT), Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics are licensed medical professionals who provide emergency medical care to the sick and injured in an effort to promote health, alleviate suffering and conserve human life.

Welcome to the Emergency Medical Services Program!

We aim to prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (Knowledge) psychomotor (skills), and Affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician; Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels. Coastal Alabama offers three levels of EMS training. Students who enroll in the EMS program will pursue a course of study, which can lead to an Associate in Applied Science degree.
