Partners for Agricultural Innovation and Sustainability Internships
Nov 2nd, 2022 - Jul 25th, 2023
Gain hands on experience by training with the Partners for Agricultural Innovation and Sustainability! PAIS 2.0 trains student interns in invasive species management, soil quality analysis, forest management, and pollinator support. These partners provide outreach and assistance to stakeholders in rural Southwest Alabama and East Mississippi. Interns attend summer workshops and then return to their home campuses, where they will work under the supervision of a liaison providing outreach and physical assistance to land managers in their respective areas.
PAIS 2.0 will train our first cohort of student interns in a Summer Intern Camp to be held on the campus of the University of West Alabama from July 25-August 6. Trainees will receive room and board, as well as a $1500 stipend. Trained interns will then work in their home area for up to 20 hours per week at $15 per hour.
