Nursing Programs

Associate Degree Nursing (RN) Program

  • This is a full-time day program designed to prepare students to practice as competent registered nurses (RN) after passing the licensure exam.
  • Students are awarded a Practical Nursing Certificate upon completion of the third semester and are eligible to take the practical nursing licensure exam for LPNs.
  • Students who successfully complete the five-semester program are awarded an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and are eligible to take the licensure exam to become an RN.

Practical Nursing (LPN) Certificate Program

  • This is a full-time day program designed to prepare students to practice as competent Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
  • Students who successfully complete this program are awarded a Practical Nursing Certificate and are eligible to take the licensure exam to become an LPN.
  • Graduates of this program may apply for the Mobility (LPN to RN) Program to complete the associate degree in nursing after having passed the NCLEX-PN.
  • Students are not allowed to continue in the traditional ADN track past the third semester.

Mobility LPN & Paramedic to ADN (RN) Program

  • This application is for current, Alabama licensed LPNs and Paramedics who would like to complete the Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • This program is offered each fall semester on the Bay Minette, Brewton, and Thomasville Campuses.
