High School Dual Enrollment
Start earning college credit in high school
Coastal Alabama Community College provides college credit opportunities to eligible high school students through the Alabama Community College Board of Trustees' Policy. This policy allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes concurrently with high school classes, and to receive both high school and college credit where appropriate. Currently, this program is available only to qualified students who are enrolled in partnering schools and districts.
Academic Dual Enrollment
To enroll in the Academic program, students must have:
- Completed ninth grade
- Minimum 2.5 Unweighted Grade Point Average
- For English or Math courses, students must have minimum scores on the English and/or Math portions of the ACT exam OR appropriate scores on the Accuplacer
- Completed Coastal Alabama admissions process (see application process link below)
Career Technical Dual Enrollment
If you are a high school student in a partnering school system, have a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average and are interested in one of the areas listed below, then career-technical dual enrollment may be for you. Technical programs are covered by a scholarship fund and are tuition-free for students. Books and/or lab fees may be required and are the responsibility of the student.

- Building Construction
- Building Maintenance
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Electrical and Instrumentation
- Culinary Arts
- Computer Applications
- Computer Animation
- Child Development
- HVAC
- Industrial Maintenance
- Machine Tool
- Nursing Assistant
- Pipefitting
- Welding Technology
Programs vary by campus and may have additional student eligibility requirements
Baldwin County
Public school students living in Baldwin county are eligible for 50% off tuition. Please contact Dual Enrollment staff for more information! Not available in the Summer term or for Accelerated courses. Applicable only to students of Baldwin County Public Schools, Gulf Shores City Schools, or Orange Beach City Schools.
